Leagues

Box Lacrosse Leagues: Leagues offered for boy’s grades 5th – 12, and Men. Box Lacrosse is a stick skills based game played between two team of six players (5 runners and a goalie) on our indoor arena surface with walls. The game is quick using a 30 second shot clock (which forces players to work together in a team atmosphere to move the ball quickly before losing possession).

 

Boys Outdoor Leagues at GoodSports: Outdoor field lacrosse is a lacrosse league played using modified outdoor lacrosse rules. The amount of players playing on the field are determined by the age groups of the players playing of each team.

 

Girls Outdoor Leagues at 18th Ave Fields: Outdoor field lacrosse is a lacrosse league played using modified outdoor lacrosse rules. The amount of players playing on the field are determined by the age groups of the players playing of each team.

 

Soft Lacrosse Leagues: For both Boys & Girls – An introduction for children to learn the basics of lacrosse. The program is designed to offer fun, great exercise, while children learn and participate in the basic fundamental skills of lacrosse. Skills practiced are scooping, cradling, catching and throwing.

Lacrosse 101- Introduction to Lacrosse

For both Boys & Girls – Introduction to lacrosse is for the beginner player. The focus of this course is to have fun in a non-competitive atmosphere. Players will work on the basic fundamentals of the game of lacrosse. There will be an emphasis on basic skills: learning to pass, catch & scoop through small group instruction with various drills and game situations. This course is designed to provide the skills necessary to appreciate the game of lacrosse. No equipment required – just bring a lacrosse stick.

Lacrosse 201 – Foundation

This course focuses on developing offensive and defensive skills and concepts from an individual and team perspective. Position specific instruction will be combined with team offense and defense. Sample topics covered (position dependent): shooting, dodging, slides, checking, off-ball movement and goaltending. Boys and girls play separately. Full equipment needed.

Lacrosse 301 – Intermediate (Skill Enhancement)

This course is designed for the experienced player looking to develop their game through intensive collegiate level instruction. Advanced instruction in dodging, shooting, defense & goaltending. Learn to compete within various offensive sets and defensive schemes. Full equipment needed.
